Yelena and Lev Vesnovskiy are the owners and head coaches of Atlantic Ballroom Dance Studio in Brooklyn New York since 2001 and Licensed USA Dance Adjudicators.
They have been teaching and training dancers for the past 30 years. Their students became Russian Youth Latin National Champions and USA Youth and Under 21 Standard National Champions.
From the age of seven Yelena studied ballet, folk, modern, and contemporary styles of dance in Russia. At the age of twelve she discovered ballroom dancing, which quickly became her primary style of dance. Yelena graduated the Performing Arts University in Novosibirsk Russia, with degrees in Choreography and Ballet Mastery. Later, Yelena became the founder, the first chief and professor of the Ballroom Dance Department at the Novosibirsk University of Performing Arts.
Lev started his ballroom dance carrier at the age of thirteen in Russia. Parallel to his dance carrier he graduated the Novosibirsk State University with Bachelor in Physics and Master in Computer Science. Lev became the first certified professional and the first invigilator in the Asia region of Russia. As an adjudicator, Lev has judged many esteemed National and International competitions. He also joined Yelena as the professor of the Ballroom Dance Department at the Novosibirsk University of Performing Arts and became the first lector and examiner in the region. He has published few books about ballroom dancing including the Russian translation of Technique of Latin Dancing approved by Mr. Walter Laird himself.
As the dance athletes, Yelena and Lev have been trained by the world top coaches and trainers and during their long dance carrier they were the winners and finalists in multiple dance sport championships. They competed in major European and North American competitions as amateurs in Standard, Latin and 10-dance and as professionals in Standard.
